Look at my backStep Patricia Urquiola presents an installation of three stairways with different heights, a reinterpretation of Budri’s marbles in terms of colours, forms and language. The back side of the stairs, until now hidden, is enhanced and emphasized from a different perspective. “Fiskskin” is a meter high and combines different marbles and onyx inlays with Chilean pine wood inserts; a texture of blue, aquamarine and emerald shades covers entirely the stairs. "Sticks" the stairway three and a half meters in height is supported by a weave of thin vertical white marble sticks rotated 30°on themselves. The multi-coloured paravant with graphics elements, solids and voids creates an optical illusion, a movement perception, and a mutation of the stair. “Semi-circle” like a cascade of marble semicircles in pastel and coral shadings matched to Chilean pine elements the stairways create a dense, almost architectural weave that covers the entire backside of the surface.
